We’ve been playing quite a bit of soccer at WooThemes since last year when we entered a soccer league in Cape Town. Last night we played in a 5 a side tournament, and although we didn’t get far, we still had a blast! The picture was taken by Mark Forrester’s wife, Xenia.

Coding at WooThemes
This week I upgraded our Listings directory theme at WooThemes from the Google Maps API V2 to V3 and I thought it would be pretty cool to show you what I actually do when I code.
The upgrade process took about an hour and a half of coding, testing, and deploying. And for those wondering, I’m coding in Coda, and the video was created using Screenflow.
And for those wondering about the music, it’s one of my favorite pieces recorded by JerryC called Canon Rock.

A New Coat of Paint
I’ve been saying I’ve been wanting to put up a new design for my blog for quite a while now, but as it happened I just never got around to it 
so last night I decided enough was enough, so here it is – the new Jeffikus.com 
It’s based on Elefolio, which makes sense seeing as I work at WooThemes! And I figured it was about time that the Tumblog plugin author starts actually using the Tumblog plugin!!! Kinda cool to use your own code for yourself. I plan on making a couple of design improvements, starting with my logo. Any thoughts or suggestions?

WordPress JQuery Accordion
So I’ve been tinkering with JQuery this weekend and have built a function for WordPress to display a JQuery accordion of a certain number of posts from a certain category – Title and Excerpt details.
It also can be used across both pages and posts using a shortcode.
Update – I have built a WordPress plugin to run this function and shortcode, and have created its own page here for download and instructions.
Saturday Golfing
So I finally got my game of golf in! Went with a good friend of mine, Kevin Abbott, to the short course in Durbanville at Wagners. It was interesting to say the least…with both of us realizing we haven’t played for such a long time! Needless to say…a score of 40 on a par 3 course was the end result!
