About Me

Just who am I? Part coder, part musician, part creative genius, part academic, my name is Jeffrey Pearce, but most of my friends call me Jeffikus.

I’m a married South African, I hold a Bachelors Degree with Honors in Information Systems from the University of Cape Town, I won an award for my 3rd year Group Systems Development Project, and recently my Honors Thesis was published by Springer (I am one of 4 co-authors) and this was presented at the World Conference on Computers in Education 2009 in Brazil.

I specialize in several technologies such as WordPress, Joomla, and generally most things PHP related, and I spend most of my online time using tools such as Twitter, Facebook, Linked In and various others.

I currently work for the leading Premium WordPress Theme company, WooThemes as a developer, focusing on functionality.  So far my biggest accomplishment there has been to have worked on the WooNav functionality that was eventually included as part of the WordPress 3.0 core. This makes me a WordPress Contributor.

I have previously worked for a leading (and award winning) Web Application Development Company in developing amazing web applications. I worked on various projects, both local and international, and fulfilled various roles including Developer, Business Analyst, and Project Manager. I was exposed to both the SDLC and SCRUM development methodologies.

My most important characteristic is that I’m a Christian. When you meet me you will know that, and I hope that my honesty, and truthfulness will shine through. If not, tell me! I’m always open to correction and not ashamed to say I’m sorry.

So that’s me, stay blessed!
